Like many creatives, I have decided to launch a Patreon Page. For those who haven't heard of it before, it is a place where people can pledge to donate a certain amount of money to artists they believe in. It doesn't matter if it's $1 a month or a $100, but by pledging a monthly amount, it gives artists a more dependable income. I don't want fans to feel as if they must donate money to my journey, but the option should still be there. Ideally, I would love to create for the sake of creating, but at the end of the day, one needs to eat! Below is an overview of my Patreon Page.

My name is Caitlin Rose Jackson, and when I was three years old, I told my parents I wanted to be an artist. Over the last 24 years, the real world has shaped me, knocked me down, and did everything it could to make me cynical. I’ve been diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, had my soul crushed by Corporate America, and can’t make a living wage even though I have two degrees. There are times I feel incredibly down and defeated, but I still can’t shake the feeling that it’s my life’s mission to make a difference in the world – add a bit of magic. I know what I am capable of, and I know I can make a positive impact on those around me through all forms of art, whimsy, and by paying-it-forward whenever possible.
Creativity cannot be contained, and it likes to take form in any and every way possible, which is why I will NOT be limiting myself to abstract paintings, fictional writing, or daily sketches. Instead, inspiration and the quest for knowledge will be my driving force. Labels might help with branding, but putting anyone’s spirit in a box is the fastest way to lose their spark. I can’t tell you EXACTLY what to expect on this journey we will be taking together, but I can promise you two things:
1. I will always be 100% my authentic self. No fake smiles, no fake accomplishments. What you see is what you get. Above all, I value honesty, and believe in leading by example. 2. Everything I do will be done with positive, noble intentions.
If you choose to become a patron of mine, don’t do it because you are expecting me to follow you back on social media or because you want a personalized drawing once a month. Do it because you believe investing in young talent is investing in the future. Do it because you support the creative journey and believe there must be a better way of getting through life. Perhaps, I’m asking people to be too altruistic, but I want to be as transparent as possible.
Thank you in advance for giving me a chance; your support means the world to me. SO, without further ado…. Let’s get whimsical!
