I am pleased to announce that I am one of the featured artists at the Portland on the Park Exhibition! This is such a wonderful program, and I feel so honored to be apart of it.
The Portland on the Park Program is part of Artlink's In Residence program, which aims to connect residents to the art community. The newly established Gallery features a rotating group of artists, and all of the art is available for purchase. This round of work will be on display from November 2020 - April 2021.
Usually, they have an opening reception, so everyone can see the pieces and mingle with the other artists, but as with everything this year, it went virtual. Although things may have looked different this season, I still had a good time! They "walked" us through the gallery and told us a little about each piece. It was delightful! Plus, since it was through Zoom, my dogs were able to attend. It wasn't planned, but for some reason they were VERY interested in the computer.
A few weeks later, Cody and I made an official, safe trip to the gallery to see the pieces in person. This was my first time seeing my work in a gallery, and it was so cool! Overall, this has been a wonderful opportunity and a fabulous experience. Even during a pandemic, there are always bright spots. : )
