Project Whimsy Gives Back

Here at Project Whimsy, we believe in giving back to the community and making the world a better place for future generations. Although we are small, and our resources limited, we still do what we can to support this fundamental pillar of the company. In 2019, through the sales of Charity Whimsies, we were able to support the Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL) and Wildlife Information, Rescue, and Education Service (WIRES).

As covered in a previous blog, AAWL’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens throughout the State of Arizona that have been surrendered, abandoned, abused, and neglected. They help reduce shelter population and relinquishment of animals by offering affordable veterinary care and dog training to the public. AAWL even helps educate the next generation of animal advocates while teaching compassion for all living things to people of all ages.

Even though AAWL was Project Whimsy’s charity of choice through March, 2020, obviously we felt compelled to donate money to WIRES once we saw the destruction caused by wildfires in Australia. WIRES has been rescuing and caring for wildlife for over 30 years and is the largest wildlife rescue organization in Australia. They are passionate about supporting smaller volunteer organizations in the same wildlife sector with the same mission, as well as Universities, Veterinary Associations, and other leading scientific and environmental Groups. They respond to more than 90,000 rescues each year.

If you would also like to donate to their emergency fund, you can do so here.
